Job Description

The Associate Project Manager is responsible for leading cross functional new product development teams throughout the entire development cycle from concept to manufactured product.
The Job duties include: 
  • Manage and maintain product requirements and specifications throughout the product development process, in conjunction with the product management team.
  • Develop product development project plans/schedule though coordination of team activities between departments.
  • Lead product development team meetings and generate task list to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while managing schedule and product scope creep. 
  • Lead retrospective meetings throughout the product development process.
  • Steer effort for creation of DVP&Rs and DFMEAs.
  • Assist Design Engineers with obtaining product prototypes by purchasing mechanical and electrical components, PCBAs, etc.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to resolve pilot line issues and document resolution via ECR process.
  • Develop and maintain assembly drawings and BOMs and other documentation for pilot runs.
  • Prepare and distribute documentation and obtain approval for new product development tollgate process.
  • Work with Product Management and PIC to ensure first production material is ordered.
  • Develop solutions for issues that may cause problem or constraints among internal and external customers.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering or relevant field of engineering.
  • Minimum of three to five years’ experience in project management for technical product development.
  • Working knowledge of technology, principles, and general practice associates with engineering.
