Job Description

Looking for an Electrical Designer Contractor for a 6-12 month assignment.
Here are the requirements:

  • Performs complex engineering design work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.
  • Design custom solutions to match customer specifications through the selection and integration of electronic components
  • Establish and document standard designs, processes and products.
  • Operate with moderate supervision and instructions contained in prints, conceptual drawings or models and free hand sketches.  Supervisor prioritizes work assignments
  • Current and Voltage Transformers, Protective Relays, Motor Controls, Power Supplies
  • Prepare and review drawing packets used and created by the Mechanical engineers, designers, and drafters to document electronic assemblies and Bills of Material for orders
  • Assist Manufacturing in determining proper testing procedures per Industry Standards and Customer requirements
  • Provide technical support to Manufacturing
  • Provide pre-sales information to Sales and Marketing including: Estimated Bill of Material, Design lead time, and/or written description of system operation.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Degree or applicable experience in lieu of degree
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with electrical design
  • Training and/or experience in basic electrical or system troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of MS Windows, Word, Spreadsheet, Outlook and project applications is required
  • Experience with High/Low Voltage, motors, transformers, or generators on the power distribution system is highly preferred.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Must be able to commit to initial full time 6-12 month commitment.
