Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ year’s professional level HR experience, including managerial experience in a manufacturing environment. Could include HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
  • Must have union background.
  • Solid HR Generalist background needed.
  • Relationship skills and influencing abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills and results orientation.
  • History of partnering to develop constructive solutions to business challenges.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • The Human Resources Manager position reports to the Plant Manager with additional support from Corporate HR Business Partners.
  • Human Resources Manager responsibilities include:
    • Talent Acquisition;
    • Facilitate the performance management program- develop HR Staff and work with managers on developing their staff;
    • Manage employee relations;
    • Develop/execute communication plan to disseminate information to plant employees;
    • Ensure accurate and timely records processing (payroll and other HRIS information);
    • Maintain positive labor relations and union negotiations;
  • The HR Manager is responsible for managing the budget for HR department.
  • The HR Manager is responsible for the involvement in Operational efficiency leadership (Lean, Six Sigma) and other continuous improvement initiatives.
