Job Description

Designs, implements and enforces quality management systems, procedures and statistical techniques in compliance to the company's objectives and quality certifications by performing the below duties.  
*Understands, observes and enforces all necessary safety procedures within the company.
*Develops or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment.
*Analyzes production limitations and standards relating to quality issues. (i.e.: capability studies).
*Recommends revision of quality specifications when indicated. (i.e.: ISO/QS).
*Oversees and directs the Quality Department and assigned personnel.
*Performs duties of supervised staff as needed.
*Responsible for the performance and activities of supervised personnel.
*Serves as managements' representation for any quality certification systems and is responsible
  for administering such systems to ensure accurate compliance.  (i.e. ISO, QS)
*Responsible for maintaining internal Audit System.
*Responsible for identifying and implementing any required training related to personnel on quality issues.
*Participates in effectively addressing and resolving customer complaints relating to quality control of
  company's manufactured products in collaboration with appropriate personnel. (i.e.: VP Mfg., VP Eng., Plant
  Mgr. or Fab President/VP).
*Resolves all subcontractor quality issues effectively.
*Conducts Supplier evaluations and reports findings or concerns to Management.
*Responsible for Corrective Action System.  (i.e. internal, customer, and supplier).
*Approve inspection department's staffing, overtime, equipment and services purchases.
*Controls and maintains all Quality System documents.
*Promotes company's quality system to personnel, customers, associations and/or within
  the manufacturing industry.
*Determines and formulates applicable policies relating to quality control and implements related
  procedures as needed.
*Established quality standards and ensures all plant operations maintain standards efficiently.
*Frequently reviews all correspondences (i.e. voice mail messages, emails, faxes, mail) and
  responds to all requests in a timely manner.
*Compiles, stores and retrieves data in Vantage System and computer system as needed.
*Recommends methods to working conditions, processes and equipment that would
  improve company's quality standards.      
*Initiates or suggests plans to motivate production workers to achieve quality standards.
*Interprets and enforces all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's
  policies, procedures and applicable laws.
*Performs personnel tasks with the assistance of the Human Resources Department as needed,
  to effectively maintain departmental staff; such as:
                                        - interviewing and training                                                                                                                                                                                                       - addressing complaints     
                                        - investigating and resolving employee issues      
                                         - conducting performance reviews
*Consults with Human Resource Manager on all personnel matters, such as substandard work or
  company policy violations to determine appropriate action required before disciplinary actions or
  terminations take place within assigned department.
*Works effectively with all department personnel, co-workers and customers in a harmonious and
  cooperative manner to meet the needs and goals established by the company.
*Maintains good housekeeping and safe work conditions.
*Additional responsibilities or special projects as assigned by management as needed.
*Must possess a bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
*Minimum of 7 years’ experience in all phases of related quality management.
*Previous supervisory responsibility.              
*Experience in related manufacturing work environment.
*Certification, formal training or continued education required.
*Excellent communication skills required to effectively communicate in both oral and written
  form and interact with all levels of the company.
*Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and
  personnel as it applies to the job duties.
*Excellent computer skills to effectively generate reports, input required data or present information.
*Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
*Excellent organizational skills required to complete work assignments and prioritize urgent
*Ability to perform effectively under pressure; involves coping with stress and maintaining a
  composed, professional manner in all circumstances related to co-workers.
*Must be organized and able to perform multiple tasks concurrently.
*Exceptional knowledge of Quality Certification policies (QS/ISO).
